Energility is focusing efforts to keep momentum on our mission, but we are mindful of what is happening around us. We are continuing to deliver our services to help our clients save both energy and money in their future improvements to their facilities. We work with programs around Ohio to help bring our services to businesses of all sizes: Ohio IPL, Rural Action , and Green Energy Ohio.
Ohio Interfaith Power and Light (Ohio IPL) seeks “to unite the voices of people of diverse beliefs throughout Ohio in a spiritually-inspired and active response to climate change” (https://ohipl.org/about-us/mission/). Ohio IPL and Columbia Gas of Ohio partner together for the Faithful Footprints program. With this program, Columbia Gas provides the homeowner with an energy audit and the house of worship receives $20. It is a win-win for both — the homeowner learns ways to save money and energy with the energy audit and the house of worship receives $20.
Rural Action has a Sustainable Energy Solutions program that seeks to engage with people and businesses in the Appalachian area of Ohio. Rural Action seeks to “connect individuals, small businesses and local governments with resources and technical assistance to reduce energy use, access renewable energy incentives and opportunities, and incorporate clean transportation solutions” (http://ruralaction.org/sustainableenergysolutions/). Rural Action and Energility partner in the Clean Energy Pledge Program that assists small businesses and nonprofits with resources and education.
Green Energy Ohio seeks to “promote sustainable energy practices, education and technologies” and is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. Unfortunately with the current pandemic situation they had to cancel their annual Green Energy Ohio Tour where Ohioans can learn about “solar, wind, geothermal, green design, energy efficiency, and more” ( https://greenenergyohio.org/green-energy-ohio-tour/). However, they have several YouTube video conversations that you can watch from home.
Energility is following the safety guidelines for Ohio and each community we visit. We can help in many ways virtually, or by practicing social distancing protocols. Energility is the Technical Consultant for Ohio IPL member congregations. We are a partner in Rural Actions’ Clean Energy Pledge program for businesses. We serve on the Green Energy Ohio board. Energility believes that every business deserves an energy manager.
